Angel Street, looking towards B+C's Castle House, in 1963.

I wasn't aware of what the castle house used to look like. Would love to see more photos of the place if possible!

The single storey ,1950's vintage ,Castle House was one of the first departmental stores to be erected after the Blitz had destroyed several of them. The car in the second shot was a Humber Hawk or , maybe, a Super Snipe...wonderful cars...a poor mans Roller!
