Stunmon
Does anyone remember any productions at The Playhouse in the 1950s?
johnm
We used to go to the Playhouse early 60's until it closed. Really loved the pace - it was a very intimate theatre. So sad when it shut. There was a thread on it here some time ago at https://www.sheffieldhistory.co.uk/forums/topic/739-the-sheffield-playhouse/
Gordon crapper
I remember a Macbeth, 1949 or 50, school party - it was a set book.
Sheffielder by Sea
I went with Lound Junior School , Chapeltown to see John Willy and The Bee People in 1968 or 1969 !! Our Teacher Mrs Crouch had some connection with The Playhouse and I think she took a group each year.....
