History dude Posted August 29, 2017 Share Posted August 29, 2017 The Ball Inn at Intake was on the Turnpike Road owned by The Sheffield and Gander Lane Trust. It can be seen on the first OS map of 1855 as a "T" shaped building. The building was owned by the tenants of Woodthorpe Hall and crops up in sales plans for that estate.
