Derelict ancient timber framed shops, bottom of Snig Hill, Sheffield prior to demolition in 1900, Pack Horse Hotel in background.

Definitely interested in hearing and learning more about the Pack Horse Hotel

Looks like a terrific building!

Change Alley, Cupola on the old bank on Commercial Street can be seen far left, further timber framed buildings lost to road widening schemes. Kings Arms on right alongside Blackshaws, Charles Dickens stayed here when he visited the town.

Same buildings at the bottom of Snig Hill with added colour. This one is from a postcard posted in 1905. In hindsight (long hindsight) Sheffield could have been as interesting as York.
