Guest paul h

I remember it well from the early eighties, my parents ran the place from 77-82 ish.

Also remember some of the regulars names

Eddie, Irish Bob, Woody, Curly, Bruce, Frank,

I'll add more as I remember them !

Hi Sol

I remember the landlord about that time as Les Simmonds (ex BSC) (after the Brown cow he had the bird in hand at eckington) I used to work & drink with his son Stuart.

First place I ever got drunk in, largely due to workmates sliping whiskey into my beer. It was Xmas about 1964/5 I had just started work from school at Beatsons Electrical just along the road. They took me home in the back of a van and dumped me on the steps of the Burngreave Liberal Club, which my parents were running at the time.

Yes that's right, Masie and Les.  I remember you Paul knocking about with Stuart.

I can't remember his surname, I can picture him and I think he went in with his son and some family on occasions. His son liked Fords if I remember right?
