Actual house location

Recommended Posts

Afternoon all,

Can anyone help to identify exactly where number 22 Blagden street, Park, Sheffield was in about 1871 please?

And if possible a map showing it

Thanks in advance

In the 1901 directory, low numbers are at the Dacre Street street end of Blagden Street.

You may be right SteveHB, but I was only going on the caption on the PS image I linked on my earlier post, which read "No. 42 onwards Blagden Street, Park, looking towards Dacre Street"

My interpretation of 'onwards' is increasing incrementally, so by the time Blagden Street intersected with Dacre Street, the house numbers would probably be in the 60's?

Now the '50s maps are back on line, the part of Blagden Street that probably includes No.22 is tantalisingly off the top right edge of this one:

I looked at the grid of available maps and.................... yep, it's missing!
