Edmund Posted January 27, 2015 Share Posted January 27, 2015 I was going to do a "Then and Now" but as Mr Google didn't clear the shrubbery before sending his van along Bernard Street, it's just a "Then". The Graphic Illustrated magazine for 1874 is available from Google here: The Graphic Illustrated Magazine 1874 (not worth downloading it all as it's 700+ MB). Pages 517 to 524 include a write up on Sheffield with several engravings. One of the engravings is the view from St John's Church - the map of the area covered although as at 1855 is here: Here is the original print, and I have added an annotated copy below - please point out any errors or additions!
