hilldweller
Driving into Bradwell at the weekend I came up behind a campervan which appeared to be being tailgated by a small Smart car. It was only when I got close up to the vehicles that realised that the driverless Smart car was being towed about 2 feet behind the campervan and the brake lights of the two vehicles were linked. The front wheels of the Smart were down to the road and the steering seemed to be fixed. I've had a look on the t'internet and apparently the arrangement is legal but the towed vehicle has to be extensively modified with two front attachment points for the A frame and the braking systems of the two vehicles linked. Seems a lot of trouble to go to, just for a ride down to the pub of an evening. HD
