Sheffield History
Back in the 1970's/80's Sheaf Valley Baths had it's heyday with it being the ultimate swimming experience in Sheffield Who went to Sheaf Valley Baths ? Do you remember the smell of the baby pool as you came out of the changing room ? What WAS that smell ? And did you ever manage to jump off the 'Top Splash' ? Diablo
Oh, I remember going here from school. Wasn't there a big window onto the bus station to the right of the photo? I was in a group of rubbish swimmers that had to swim widths down at that end of the pool. Remember watching some of the stronger swimmers taking a run and jump off the diving platforms. I recall the small foot wash thing in between the changing rooms and the pool area.
Bayleaf
When I worked in the city centre I sometimes went there for a swim in my lunch break. It always seemed busy.
