vox
Something my dad had for some purpose. Only thing I can think of is that it could be something to do with beer or wine making, but if it is, exactly what I don't know.

sando
I'd guess that it was to pull cable through a wall or something for a similar task

vox
What is the total length of it please ? About 16" from memory. I'd guess that it to pull cable through a wall or something for a similar task See what you mean Sando, but I can't imagine that my dad would have had anything like that. Also, It wasn't with his tools, it was in a cutlery drawer.
sando
Do you think it is home made?
vox
It looks it doesn't it, and that was my first thought, but (and I should have taken a picture from the handle end) the bending around and through the handle, and the way it is "tied off" don't look like anything my dad would have done. That, of course, doesn't mean that it wasn't "home made" by someone else, so it's a possibility.
