The adverse effects of public scandals on the police and what can be done to rebuild confidence. A talk by the Chief Constable of South Yorkshire, David Crompton. Tuesday 4th February, 7.30 at the Greystones (formerly the Highcliffe) David Crompton was appointed to his current post on 2nd April 2012. He was previously Assistant Chief Constable then Deputy Chief Constable of West Yorkshire. During that time he was involved in the response to the 7/7 bombings, the operation to catch the killers of WPC Sharon Beshenivsky, and the investigation into the kidnapping of Sharon Matthews. He is the lead for homicide investigation at the Association of Chief Police Officers. This is one of a series of talks under this heading.
