Bayleaf
Thanks to Bayleaf for pointing me in the right direction, I would say that the photo was taken from the banking on the top dam, looking down the middle dam. Taken fom the bottom L/H corner in this image. And a virtual computer image here. By the way tsavo, your jpeg photo link don't work in my weather topic. Nice one Steve, looks right, now why didn't I think of doing that?
Guest JSP
Just found a Sheffield postcard of Wyming Brook. I'd missed it when I was first looking through my postcards for any of Sheffield, as to me it doesn't look anything like Sheffield! If you interested I have attached a scan. Thanks, JSP I'm afraid I can't get the photo landscape :S ------------------------------------------------
mike142sl
Sorry but I have no ideas as to the date this photo was taken, and I can't make out what angle it was taken from? Obvious buildings, could they be farm/s? The buuilding in the distance must be the Grouse & Trout then.
sando
as you come out of the top of Wyming Brook and turn towards Lodge Moor, in the 60's the first house / farm on the right used to serve pots of tea and ice creams, calling for an ice cream used to be the final treat of the day as we headed on the long walk home.
