RichardB
eBay G H Wilson With Newspaper Clipping From Sheffield Mail Reading: AFTER 21 YEARS. HOW THE "SHEFFIELD MAIL" EFFECTED A RE-UNION. The presentation this week of the "Sheffield mail" angling gold medal to Mr.G. H. Wilson, Duke Street, Park, has led to an interesting re-union. Mr.Wilson won the medal in the liberal and radical clubs match at Boston for the "Sheffield Independent" Cup, and his sporting speech when he received the "Mail" special prize, attracted the notice of Mr. Ellis Smith; of Walesby, near Ollerton. At one time the pair were bosom friends; they worked together at Cammel's Forge, but for 21 years they have been apart. Mr. Smith promptly wrote his old friend to congratulate him. Mr. Wilson is a keen angler and footballer. He is on committee of the Parks Liberals F.C., and is a vice-president of the Park Liberal Club.
