Sheffield History
Here's an interesting read - a website with a lengthy account of one man trying to come to terms with life in Sheffield As I nervously wound my way along the pavement, circumnavigating the various groups as I encountered them, one guy stepped in my path and waved a plastic bag with about a fivers worth of blow in it at me. "Wanna buy some draw mate? £20 to you." I told him I didn't and another stepped out to ask, "Can you change a £20 note mate?" Realising that they were trying to discover whether or not I was worth mugging I immediately sobered up. "If I had that kind of money I'd be able to afford a taxi home." I told him, acutely aware that I was now completely surrounded. After being given a few cautionary bear-stares I was allowed to proceed unmolested.
