I know I've read before what this building used to be but I simply cannot find the thread. So somebody please remind me, what was the building used for before it was redeveloped into the flats and restaurant that it is now.

Many thanks, exactly what I was looking for. I kept thinking it used to be a workhouse but feeling slightly uneasy about that memory, I guess I was on the right track.
