Guest coffee cup
I remember my grandad grew cabbages and spuds when I was very young in their back garden, they also had loads of fruit trees, like apples, gooseberries, plums and blackberries. Allotments are very trendy now, but who out there grows their own ? either on an allotment or in their own back garden ? We grow our own spuds, both early and late varieties, herbs, courgettes and garlic Have tried carrots, onions, spring onions, beans, sprouts, cabbage in the past This year apart from spuds & courgettes I am trying Aubergines and chillis again We haven't got an allotment but are lucky enough to have a bigish garden that allows room for my hubbies veg. (aubergines , herbs & chillis are mine though ) Grandads usually grew cabbages and cauliflowers along with deliah flowers when I was young. Guest wisewoodowl
In my back garden I've got peas, potatoes, courgettes, carrots and parsnips with radish as a catch crop in the veg plot and tumbler tomatoes in pots on the patio. Rhubarb and raspberries and strawberries are in the fruity bit.
