Had this postcard image sent to Sheffieldsoldier from Canada, date before early 1920's. Patients from Wharncliffe war hospital visited it I think for the grounds and the sporting facilities ? Mr E. Robinson owned it pre club days, gardener was a Mr Chester. Do you think that is Mr Robinson and Mr Chester in the image ?

In 1939 Eliza Robinson, born 26 December 1862, was a retired Mental Officer living at 2 Shepperson Road, with Sarah E Robinson (born 1858 probably her sister). Probably a different "E.Robinson" from the owner (male) of the Wharncliffe hospital, quoted by Trefcon, though Eliza did work there in 1917 (and was commended for good work).

It does look like Mr Robinson in the photograph of The Grange (but the zoomed image is very low resolution):

The Grange looks a bit different today with a flat roof extension to the front. The club was extended later and you can see part of the red brick building to the right which sounds as if it was added in 1929 on the club website.
