Guest busy lizzy
Is there a search option on the site which will obviously stop repeat topics?
vox
There is, or rather there are. Top right hand corner allows you to search the topic you are on at the moment, or there's a drop down list which gives other options. Also, at the bottom of my posts (and other mods) you will find a link to a "Google custom search" which searches the entire site.
SteveHB
All members, new and long standing, should not worry about duplicating a topic or question, it is not a problem and can soon be rectified by forum moderation. If in doubt, posting a duplicate is better than not to post at all.

SteveHB
Search tip. In the Google custom site search type city road, it will throw up answers not only to City Road, but also to City, and Road will appear. like this. Now type city road but add inverted commas "city road" and only the combination of words city and road will be found, like this
RichardB
Who Can Tell Three very non-descript words, all too short for the standard search facility provided. http://www.sheffieldhistory.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic/12434-search-problems/
