I'm looking at post WW2 when someone who married c1950 put their address as c/o Mission Hall West Quadrant. His parents had died in 1947 so he became sort of 'homeless'. I lived in the Firth Park area but we never needed to go that side of Firth Park roundabout but I do have one vague memory of perhaps going to a jumble sale there in the early 50s and I think it was a large shed like building that was approached through the alleyway beside the now Firth Park library. lysander Posted February 26, 2013 Share Posted February 26, 2013 The "mission hall" was , as its names suggests, a mission church from St. Cuthbert's, Firvale. It was the venue for a large bonfire on VJ night...which sort of got out of hand and I remember it did some damage to the building. I occasionally attended Sunday School there....but ended up at Firth Park Methodists ...who had the Life Boys.
