Hi Jeremy, When you've sorted out your family tree could you please take a look at this topic.

I was hoping you might know something about the history of CHH and whether you could share it with us?

My previous enquiry drew a blank.

Hi Phil,

You've asked me this question before on the 'Sheffield Forum' website in Dec 2009.

http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=527795

Unfortunately I didn't know anything about either the house or the farm then and still don't now.

I've just noticed though that the house is up for sale, see link http://images.vebra.com/tp/241/1/details/875.pdf

Regards

Jeremy

You certainly have a good memory!

Thank you for the real estate link, that took me back a few years.. I will send it on to my friend Brian who lives out here in Auz. It was him I used to go and visit at Crawshaw Head, his parents rented the house in the 60's before the whole family, apart from one daughter, emigrated to Australia.

Hi Jeremy

You might look at the Bradfield Archives Militia Lists. Found one of my family living at "Crawshaw" (Farm?) by this means in 1828,(thanks to Malcolm Nunn)

I seem to remember loads of Crawshaws mentioned

Hi Mike,

Thank you for your reply!

I have looked at the Bradfield Militia List before when I still lived in Sheffield and did find some of my CRAWSHAW family listed.

I also know Malcolm Nunn very well as we are linked together through our HORSFIELD connections as we are both related to the William HORSFIELD that discovered the crack in the Dale Dyke Reservoir that lead to the Sheffield Flood in 1864.
