Bayleaf
The restored Wheel has been very well received, with a steady flow of visitors every weekend. However, for the next five weeks, the machinery will not be operating, to allow major work to be carried out, mainly the replacement of the bearings on the major parts. The Wheel will remain open to visitors as before, with staff on site to answer questions etc. The opening hours are 10am to 4pm every Saturday and Sunday and Bank Holidays, until the clocks change, when the hours will be 11am to 3pm

mike142sl
While you're there Mike, did you notice the events list has Christmas Day down as a work day? No, hadn't seen that. Ros does the calendar and I suspect she has entered the work days as repeating every month (They appear through to March) Will leave a message for her when she gets back from holiday. The work days aren't at the Wheel, they're at various places around the valley, fixing benches, repairing paths, clearing undergrowth etc. As Mike says, a mistake from trusting to recurring dates. And a Merry Christmas to one and all! ;-)
