RichardB
I've spent the last two days pushing a canon round a field near Driffield. We fired a lot of shots, two feet away from a canon going off is an interesting place to be especially when there is another to the right of you - two feet away also. Re-enactment stuff, enjoyed it muchly - pictures to follow.
Bayleaf
Sounds fun! Given the size and duration of the artillerybarrages in WW1 I've often wondered how many gunners were totally deafened for the rest of their lives?
DaveH
This sounds more like the sealed knott English Civil War re-enactment society. I wonder if Richard was a Roundhead or a Cavilier? However the best cannon diusplay I have seen was in Norfolk Park by an American Civil War re-enactment society So Richard could be Union or Confederate! DaveH
I would say Richard is a roundhead I don't know, he looked very flamboyant as a pirate, the uniform made him look almost Cavilier
