Mr Mizell put paper towels under his guitar strings to give them that dull tone. According to Bert Weedon "that is slightly wrong"....

Never liked it, not even with Pans's People.

It's just a novelty record Steve, - and 1976 offered a good selection of them including, -

"I've got a brand new combine harvester" and "I am a cider drinker", both by the Wurzels

"Convoy GB", a comedy version of the American hit "Convoy" by Laurie Lingo and the Dipsticks

"One piece at a time" about stealing a Cadillac from the GM factory over a 20 odd year period by Johnny Cash
