kmegan
Thank you very much for the information on Mary Starkey and the Crown Inn in the Wicker. That reallly helped my research. Now I am keen to learn more about where and how cigars were made in Sheffield in 1900s as I have discovered 2 ancestors who were cigar makers. What sort of job was it? Was an apprenticeship required? Were machines used? Any help would be most welcome.
SteveHB
Hi kmegan. Although this film about cigar manufacture is not made in this country, I would have thought that local manufacturers used a similar sort of process, hand rolling.
