DaveH
Sorry to be morbid, but its important. if you die intestate I hope the following may help Best way is to spend it all before you go. Do what uncle Mort did in "I didn't know you cared" and organise your own funeral party, booze up and a funeral trip out to Crich to ride on Sheffields last tram. Then have these events before you die because you wouldn't want to miss out on them would you.

Stuart0742
Are you saying nothing's changed since 1904? No things are bound to have changed. I was just posting a few random pages from the 1904 Sheffield Red Book. Just to provoke a bit of discussion or a comment from DaveH, same with the topic about the weight of fish. Dave did not let me down on either topic

Dave did not let me down on either topic ..and the topic about taking orders for bulk beer, I put a post in that as well. Just trying to liven things up and get a bit of fun back after the slack time we have had this last month or two.
Bayleaf
Wives and husbands get a better deal now. If the husband/wife/civil partner dies intestate and there are no blood relatives then the other partner inherits everything, provided they survive the deceased by 28 days. No civil partners in 1904! And contrary to popular belief there is no such thing in law as a common-law wife or husband. If your unmarried partner dies intestate you are entitled to nothing.
