WOODCOB Posted March 12, 2012 Share Posted March 12, 2012 I attended the above school and remember the following teachers: Mr Mullen (sports) Mr Ledra Mr Lancaster Mr Quostle (Quack) Mr Middlemass (woodwork) Mr Knott (Head) Does anyone remember the name of the Science and Art teachers? I also remember the names of the following classmates: Charlie Bell, Tony Llewellyn, Bill Robinson, Pete Smith,(all who played for Sheffield Boys football) Tony Allen, Graham Marples, George Colley, Trevor Frost and Pete Horsfield. Don't know about 1960 but when the school closed in 1969 many of its teachers, and some of them could easily have been there for over 10 years by then, transfered to Norfolk and Hurlfield where the kids were bused. At Norfolk we picked up Mr. Riley as a new science teacher from Wybourn, and also a Mr. Headley amongst others. Mr. Riley was a real character, when he came up to Norfolk in 1969, with half the old Wybourn kids, we had never really come across a teacher like him.
