Hi Vox, i know this part well, midhurst road right next door to the church...and next to that used to be a little butchers shop belonging to a Mr Gerald P Noyland...he also had a chap working for him by the name of Mr Wilson...and just a little further down from that, was the post office which i believe is still there....Al Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest darcy73 Posted May 7, 2012 Share Posted May 7, 2012 I seem to remember a bad house fire in one of the maisonettes facing Foxhill Crescent around the late 70's, early 80's. The Star may have some archive pictures from this? I was a young boy living on the Close at the time and remember stood at the end of our road in my pyjamas watching the firemen trying to get people out.
