Ridgeway Village History

I need a bigger map ! Showing, erm, more so I can work out where it is.

Ridgeway is a north Derbyshire village roughly half way between Gleadless Townend (which is in Sheffield) and Mosborough (formerly Derbyshire before 1967, but now Sheffield) so as such it is less than a mile south of the City southest border.

Me, Steve, Stuart, Vox and quite a few others from this side of town will know it well.

Particularly it's famous old pub, https://www.oldenglishinns.co.uk/our-locations/the-phoenix-ridgeway

I know Gleadless Town End reasonably well, Aunt/Uncle lived there for about the last 40+ years, I could find Ford via a back lane, Mosborough - not a clue - may as well be on Mars.

Thanks for the map vox, that should make it clear to Richard where Ridgeway is.

He thinks Mosbrough is on Mars

So he obviously needs a more accurate and reliable map.

These bloomin' North Sheffielders, from their Ivory towers, thinking Sheffield finishes at Park hill!

Some North Sheffielders think Sheffield finishes further north than that! :o

Some of them have a "there is nothing south of the Don" sort of mentality.
