Fashion item without doubt - probably off a (ladies) jacket. They abound and even bear actual British Army unit insignia ....such as Royal Engineers or Duke of Wellington’s Regiment (the latter were sold in carded sets by the Cath Kidston high street shops in recent years) They continue to fool the uninitiated - even supposed military button collectors.. Don’t suppose fashion designers give any thought to casually and in their ignorance, disrespectfully, incorporating items men wore and still wear with pride in their Regiment in their latest creation.
