If you're interested in this sort of thing this is a great day out. Not far from Boston and sort of on the way to Skegness. Despite being it's nickname "Just Jane" I was surprised to see that this Lancaster's officlal name is the - "City of Sheffield" and the city coat of arms can be seen in this video via this link. On certain days they taxi the bomber down a bit of airfield. It doesn't fly but the sound of those engines from just one aircraft blows you away.

My dad was a "Tail Gun Charlie" in Lancasters during the war. He was shot down over Essen an was a POW. I was planning on making a trip to Spilbey in Lincolnshire(his squadron was based there) when I am over might just take this in as well. Thanks for the post
