saw119 Posted September 4, 2011 Share Posted September 4, 2011 I am very much interested in this topic particularly the 80's. It was when I was growing up so can't really add any pictures. Howver, I would be interested in any pics of West Street from this period. My memory of it is lots of abandoned buildings covered in fly posters. There was definitely a large garage/motor repair place where the Cavendish is now I believe or am I getting that mixed up with where Players Sports bar is? Also does anyone remember the large Santa's grotto type affair that was set up near the fountain/top of Fargate at Christmas. Always used to post my letter to Father Christmas there.
