Bayleaf
Strolling around Google Earth, I'm often struck by the patterns of burning on the moors of the Peak. However, wandering up Derwent I came across these. Any ideas? The only thing I could think of was that a couple of years ago when walking back down the damside not far from here I came across some Peak Park workmen with a very strange vehicle, like a cross between a six wheel ATV and an agricultural sprayer. Being nosey I asked what it was and was told they were working up on the moor reseeding the heather. Could these be connected, perhaps trial areas? RichardB
Could these be connected, perhaps trial areas? The rarely seen lesser-spotted, chessboard Derwent birds nest ! Great find !! You should see the size of the bird !!!
