Rodgers Printers and Booksellers, Market Place Sheffield & Hallamshire Steam Press. Change Alley Corner. Fragile volume. Reading copy. 288 pages of text in VG condition. Back cover missing. Front cover attached, but loose. Last four pages detached. Four pages of preface missing. Nevertheless, a rare and sought after book.I can only find one other for sale on the internet.Conversations, amusing and political, in 19th. century Sheffield dialect, much of which has survived despite television and radio. "Letter T`King". Blades. Cutlers. Local interest. Originally appeared as the "Wheelswharf Chronicle" at a time when Sheffield was asserting its identity, economically and politically.
