Stuart0742
This Newspaper article from 1840 may be of interest to you Railway Guys. Regards Southside. This was one of many schemes to link Sheffield with the Midland Railway, in order to avoid having to travel via Rotherham to pick up the North Midland Railway. This scheme failed in Parliament It was not until 1870 that the Midland Line finally opened, through Dore & Totley, Bradway Tunnel and down the Drone Valley to Chesterfield.
