  24. Paradise Inn 36 Campo Lane Open 1871 Closed Span Comments Earlier 1871 Ezra Ellis 1881 Wright Thomas Tattersall (30 Campo Lane) -------------------------------------------------- My Great Great Great Grandad died in this pub on 18 April 1885 of Apoplexy (stroke) certified by J H Warehouse. He was with his grandson, Harry Biggin of 84 Grange Crescent. James Barber had owned racehorses and was described as "one of the richest men of the turf" but by the time of his death had lost all of this money. The publican - Tattersall is also linked to the Barbers through Race Horses, though I have yet to investigate this. 127 Jane -------------------------------------------------
