  4. This is the old Canal Basin before all the office's, I think about 1978, the launch site is now the new hotel, at that time it was a carpark. taken from the balloon, at about 200ft
  5. WISH I COULD SAY THE SAME ABOUT BEING BORN THEN !!!!! Tomo
  6. I THINK it was about about 1980 ish' the big building on the left on the top of the hill was Wiggfalls head office,
  7. This was taken from an unmanned advertising balloon, I used to own, and the camera was on a pan & tilt, with a CCTV camera, so that we could see at ground level what the 35mm camera could see. As you can see on the right is the wicker, and we are looking towards Attercliffe, the actual mooring site was in the back yard of the old public mortuary on Nursery Street, which had been converted to workshops we rented one.
  8. Hi tsavo, Ref. the Heeley flood in the 1970's I think that this may be a photo of it - looking at the Ford Anglia and the young lady in the pink coat, I would say this is the 1970 - ish The photo was taken from outside the Earl of Arundel looking towards Reuben Thompsons at the corner of Havelock Bridge
