  1. Need help - on my great grandfather's marriage licence it says his father was a pointsman - is that related to a bricklayer's profession or a military position? Fellow researches - thanks so much for your help!. Guess I better get my mind out of the middle ages - didn;t even think of the railway -- in Canada we would have referred to him as a switchman.

  3. No, I'm not Bert, ha ha ha. Harry Hague who died December 1934 was my husband's great grandfather. Harry's daughter, Gertrude was married to Samuel Donner (my husband's grandfather) and Joseph was her brother. I'm just starting to research my husband's side of the family and haven't had the pleasure of conversing with Bert. Perhaps we can share some info. Tremendous thanks for passing along the photo.
