  1. I'm with you NHP, it was 1980. I was desperate to go to the gig but my mum & dad wouldn't let me. I was 14 at the time and had just bought UK Decay's single, For My Country, so I wanted to see them more than the Dead Kennedys. I'm a little green with envy DunsbyOwl, mainly for having such laid back parents. Please say the gig was c**p.
  2. If you go to http://www.gleadless.net/index.htm Then look in maps, ordnance survey, 1924 and upper left section and you will be able to see exactly where Woodlands was. It looks like Ketton Avenue and Essendine Crescent are on the land nowadays.
  3. The last time we won a major trophy. Fred Tunstall scored as we beat Cardiff City 1-0. Anybody have any memories of this ??? Probably not !
  4. JohnH

And with a little patience and care you will have something that looks like this.
  5. Looking forward to next season too (in the premiership????) Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and the rest. Give me a Sheffield derby anyday. :)
  6. What about the most recent encounter. Enjoy!! he he
  7. Thanks for the link Stodge. On the 22nd of June, Artery are getting together for a one off gig at the Boardwalk in Sheffield. Show starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £8 in advance. Should be a good night.
  8. Dianne Lee of Peters and Lee was from Sheffield. They got to number one in 1973 with Welcome Home. The song was sugar coated sentimental nonsense but as a chart topper, I think Dianne deserves a place on the list.
