  3. I remember reading somewhere that the first Indian in Sheffield was the curry inn on ecclesall road, I can't remember where I read that though. There is a picture dated 1966 on picture Sheffield website. In this Link

  5. Filmed partly at Park Hill, The film is set around the time of the Troubles in Northern Ireland, they used Park Hill to film The scenes at the Divis estate in Belfast. It's well worth a watch there are other recognisable scenes throughout the film. IMDB Link
  6. I've worked on a few weighbridges around Sheffield, here are a couple from memory... Intermet Refractory products, Platts lane, Oughtibridge. Kuusakoski recycling, Faraday road. 2 at the Europa link entrance to Outokumpu, there was also another 2 at the Shepcote Lane site before it was demolished. Hillsborough Steelstock, Wadsley bridge. Forgemasters, Brightside lane. Dixon Street Neepsend, In the former premises of George Clark Ltd.
  7. I cannot help but notice that in that last picture there seems to be a member of the procession missing, it looks like they are missing somebody carrying an "IE" banner. I wonder where they got to?
