Please help me save Bennet cottage in the mayfield valley from demolition, the new current owners plan to demolish the buildings and replace with an awful modern building, see planning application 17/02756/FUL. The cottage is at least 500 years old and has attached a 13th Century Cruck framed barn (also to be demolished). This ancient barn is believed to have once belonged the the Abbey of Beauchief. I feel this needs to be a designated listed building, and saved for hundreds more years. I need your help to object to the planning application and provide any evidence linking the the barn/area with the Abbey, this is helpful for Listing the building. The cottage and barn is dear to me, my family used to own next door Bennet Grange for 40 years, the cottage used to be part of the Bennet grange until the 1970s .
