  1. I have been having a clear out at home and came across this old Redgates Hornby Railways trailer
  2. http://www.thestar.co.uk/community/nostalgia/what-would-you-like-to-see-on-the-moor-slideshow-1-5153561 Noticed this on The Star website, if you watch through it, it shows Redgates from the outside.
  3. Right, i don't really know if this is the right area of the forum to post this but here goes: I have been looking for some history on sheffield's road network and came across the following website http://www.d-zyne.demon.co.uk/srp-index.htm which has turned up some interesting reading on some of sheffields roads although parts of the site relate to modern day there seems to be some nice historical parts aswell which i thought could be found interesting or useful to some of the members here. If i have posted this in the wrong section them please feel free to move this to the correct part of the forum. Ta Rob.
  4. 80's for me. Remembering Redgates, my dad being made redundant when Hadfields closed, and also sledging down concord park - yes i'm another one who did that, and all my memories of Shiregreen Queenies chippy!!!
  5. A little bit of Hadfields history from the beginning to the unfortunate end, which made my dad redundant for the first time since leaving school. http://www.made-in-sheffield.com/People/RobHadfield.htm http://www.tilthammer.com/bio/hadf.html http://www.chrishobbs.com/gchobbs2.htm Hope this helps.
  6. What a sorry sight to see, I remember when i used to work behind the bar at The Newfield and it used to be a thriving pub at that time (year 2000/1 if i remember). Ian & Diane were the landlord/lady at that time.
