Hi everyone, I was in town yesterday, walking down Church street and I walked passed this building and realised how beautiful the architecture of it was. Was this a court house? I would love to have any information on this. Thanks in advance.

Did anyone go to the York Viking festival last week? It is a must for anyone who loves the history of the vikings. It is such a fun week with Viking living history camps, a Viking procession, Viking markets and Viking battles. It is always in the February half term and lasts a whole week! It is amazing, Vikings are walking around the streets and you can have your photographs taken with them and see them going about their business. The battles are so realistic, you all need to go next year, believe me you will not be disappointed. Here are some photographs I took when there, enjoy.

Still the school now rebuilt but merged with Hinde House to become one large school on two sites. http://www.hindehouseprimary.net/site-map.asp and yes the school dentist was at Hatfield House Lane School in the 50s The one on North Quadrant was the welfare (baby) clinic.

Picked up up a book last night, which I hadn't read for 20 years - found this inside complete with a lass's name & phone number on the back! As I remember very trendy in early 1980s - and I suppose using a word like that means I'm not!
