  1. I visited 65 Westbourne Road yesterday and what a large house it is, sadly it's now flats by the look of it, there's a roundel on the front of the house depicting a music theme, the chap that had it built was William Turton Stacey, music professor, music seller, pianoforte and organ seller, he had it built in 1844? But I cannot find much info on the man, his family or brothers, can anyone help.

  2. Love this photo, so beautiful, thanks for sharing. My favourite gem in town has to be the beautiful town hall building, I have never fully had a tour round here though, has anyone else? I have seen the odd room when I have had meetings but not a full tour. I also like the old town hall building, this looks interesting. Has anyone been in here? Both buildings have wonderful architecture, its a shame the council doesnt look after the Old town hall as much as the new.

  3. Hello I think this is 110 Bellenden Road near Peckham Rye (rail) Junction. The OS maps is from 1954 and it gives us the building number 110 (Bellenden Road), and the signal box in the distance on top of the embankment. The street views give us the same number of arches as the original picture as well as the same arch design, same brickwork and the same down pipe in the foreground. The close up of the brigde head (Lyndhurst Way) also seems to match what is on the original picture. cheers
