Guest Blue_Owl

My grandfather ran a pub called the Manor Castle Inn, where my father grew up. I never quite knew where it was located. I remember we used to have a few remnants from the pub stashed away in our house in Parson cross including a strangely shaped brush that was used for sweeping the snooker/billiards table

Upon checking your list I found the pub's address!

Grandad was the George Marshall of 1925.

Many thanks for providing the list

Regards

Keith

I remember the Half Penny being built in under the Kelvin Flats.

What a great picture this is, you can see the long road going up the middle which is Addy Street

and the white building in the middle being the Scarborough Arms.

Freedom Hotel/Freedom View

26 Walkley Road, S6

I have amended the address (to Walkley Road rather than Walkley Bank Road)

I have also deleted the picture link which was to a photo of the Freedom House 'Top Freedom', next entry - where the same photo is linked to by a slightly different route).

There is a photo of the Freedom View on Flickr. Is it ok just to link to that with an acknowledgement (copyright notice) to the poster?

Does anyone know when this pub actually closed? I ask becausez I am trying to trace an old workmate called George Vaughan, who lived at this pub (or the premises) in about 1958.
