emo924 Posted April 24, 2017 Share Posted April 24, 2017 Seeking any information on : Matthew Clarke - served as Sergeant / Colour Sergeant and Company Quartermaster Sergeant - 8329 / 4736243 with the 1st Battalion of the York and Lancaster Regiment. Was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal in 1918 (London Gazette dated 31st May) Born in Sheffield in 1888, his parents were John and Annie and the family mostly seem to have lived at Dunfield(s) in Neepsend.
