I have 2 photos inherited from my nannan, both of them are of her with work colleagues, Photo 1, I have attached, is Turton Brothers and Matthews, my nannan Lily Balm (nee Cooper) is third up on the left, she was an Inspector as far as I know and worked there for at least 25 years - (I recognise Dot Bower second up on left and Dot Gath sitting in front) Do you know who the other people are? Photo 2 also attached says Skinners on the back. My nannan is 6th from the right - I think ! - My mum seems to think that Skinners was taken over by Turton Brothers -Is this right? I cant find anything about Skinners by Googling it so I need some of the old Sheffield knowledge. Any help as always very much appreciated. I noticed there is a contact us section on the website, I might give that a go and see if they have any archive stuff, you never know. Will post the results if I get any.
