Hmm- not sure. This new book on Paradise Square claims the following but some of the infomation in the book is a bit hazy pre 1850s andcontradicts itself in a couple of places but anyway - No1 'had been a beerhouse' and what is now the side entrance had been the Claredon Hotel. 'Q in the Corner' at no 17. (1854 - Edward Harrison) Later an American themed bar - the Shrewsbury Hotel (1883 - George Edward Jacobs) -destroyed by fire on 27 October 1882. No 11 - The Old Cock Tavern - (1854 Edmund Inkersall) No 22 was the Clown and Monkey - a venue for a rat fighting pit New 2008 The Wig & Pen - at no 7 & 9 - a restaurant and bar. Extended through from Campo Lane. that probably doesn't help at all!
