Thanks As in Moorfields? Continuation of Gibraltar Street, "Moorfields changes name to Shalesmoor at the junction with Ebeneezer Street". www.picturesheffield.comMoorfields_Flats
sallyduk
Thanks for the information. I presume it is Moorfields Flats but the death certificate has it without the 's'. Do you know when these flats were built?

Not sure when they were built, but Moorfields Flats appear on an Ordnance Survey map of 1963, surveyed 1953.

sallyduk
You're a star Just the information I was looking for! It also confirm what I thought that it wouldn't have been on the 1939 Register. I don't suppose you could also look for 8 Havelock Street as this is another one I haven't been able to find on the maps! Thanks again for your help. sallyduk
These images are great and very helpful thanks Do you know if there is a Trade/BT Directory for Sheffield covering the 1940's or 50's? The person I'm looking for had a business at 40 Hereford Street in 1958 and lived at 8 Havelock Street! Thanks again for your help.
