Well, it's not on the 'Sheffield Places - now gone" forum.

But I guess it's asking a bit too much to imagine it's still there?

What if it was still there - like one of those gentleman's outfitters in London, in business for 200 years, same premises an' all that . . .

Not a thing made in China! Maybe a novelty or two creeping in from Hong Kong as a sign of bad things to come.

And not one "SALE" poster fouling the display window, but get this - 'discount offers'  (almost apologetically) 

Yes, those were the days.

Yes, those were the days.

The discount offers would be the LP's with no sleeves, I still have half a dozen I bought.  They had a huge box of 45rpm records which I looked through regularly.  I think between 1972 and 1982 there were no new additions to the box, and the quantity never decreased.
