RLongden
On a new map it would be about here: Blagden Street / Manor Oaks Road On a map from 1888, using the PicSheff image and working backwards by a proportional amount, back from No.42, I believe it would be approx where the red dot is. Blagden Street - Picture Sheffield Hope this helps?
SteveHB
In the 1901 directory, low numbers are at the Dacre Street street end of Blagden Street.
RLongden
You may be right SteveHB, but I was only going on the caption on the PS image I linked on my earlier post, which read "No. 42 onwards Blagden Street, Park, looking towards Dacre Street" PS image of Blagden Street My interpretation of 'onwards' is increasing incrementally, so by the time Blagden Street intersected with Dacre Street, the house numbers would probably be in the 60's? RLongden
Now the '50s maps are back on line, the part of Blagden Street that probably includes No.22 is tantalisingly off the top right edge of this one: Blagden Street Map I looked at the grid of available maps and.................... yep, it's missing!
